The Golden Thread Exercise was very illuminating and triggered some very interesting thoughts. I realised that the vast proportion of my time was being given to routine business tasks and chores and was completely out of balance with my real professional interests and passions. It highlighted that I was spending time on these routine tasks because they are “deemed” important but also because they are easy to do. My real interests and passion demand time and commitment and I was avoiding addressing those demands. As a result of the exercise, I now feel good about working from a new personal structure
